At the latest when they came out with the song ‘finding you’, and it supported one of the largest cellular providers in Austrian television and radio advertisements ; everyone knew who Dedicated to is. Four guys from Drassmarkt Burgenland, Austria. A town with barely 1000 residents, 3000 pigs and 10000 chickens! You either go under in this town, or you found a band. DT decided for the latter.
The result: softcorepowerskapunk filled with social criticism without taboos or repeating the same crap for the 1000th time. From powerful punk to genius ska not neglecting melodic softcore by any stretch of the ear.. this mixture not only characterizes the music of Dedicated to but guarantees for diverse listening pleasure of the highest quality. ...read moreIn their short band story the guys have already claim to the newcomer 2001 ‘America is waiting’ title and the win of the east Austrian ‘on stage tour contest’., which secured them a place next to huge names like Korn and Rammstein at the Aerodrome Sampler 2005. 2006 Dedicated to represented Austria at the largest music mass ‘midern’ and were rewarded with the Theodor Kery grant for music. On the side they have played the most popular and elite clubs and spots in Austria ( Flex, Arena Vienna, B72, Planet Music…) enthused over 10,000 fans in Bistrita (RO) and rocked the stages of numerous festivals in Germany.
In November 2005, their debut album, ‘pixton boy in trouble’ (crater8records/rebeat) kicked off their tour. By the end of 2005 they were all over the media with their song ‘finding you’ accompanying the advertising campaign for the leading Austrian cellular provider A1, making them a house hold name and bug in Austria’s ears. After January 30th ‘finding you’ was available as a single (crater8records/hoanzl). This success was followed by video airplay on GOtv ‘micky Mike’, ‘finding you’ and #K.O.S.’. extensive and exclusive interviews were given to Plustv, Wiener Neustadt tv on several occasions.
After their highly successful debut album the guys deliver their follow up, ‘pixton unicorn’- 15 brand hot, diverse songs laden with fatt riffs, catchy refrains, unique melodies and genius lyrics.
